DISSEMINATION OF JAINISM ABROAD

The members of the community have settled in abroad in large number due to their business and livelihood. The religious faith and practices may sustain in their families(children), the General Secretary of the Trust Dr. Hukamchand Bharill has been visiting North America, Canada, England, Belgium, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi etc.– 24 countries since 1984 to disseminate Jainism abroad, he has completed 27 successful visits so far. A noticeable enthusiasm and awareness has been seen as the result of these visits. Consequently, an organization JAANA (Jain Adhyatam Academy of North America) has been formed to implement the programs to spread Jainism over there. As the first phase JAANA circulated the book 'Dharm ke Dash Lakshan' Hindi and Gujrati version among 8000 Jain families living in abroad. Besides, few other books viz. 'Quest for Truth', 'Samaysar Ka Sar ', 'I myself am God', 'Actions, Emotions and Intention', 'Gatway to Jainism', 'Krambaddhaparyay' etc. were also distributed. JAANA decided to invite 4-6 other scholars every year besides Dr. Bharill.

Moreover, a Jain temple has also built in London and its Panch Kalyanak Pratistha was also held in 6-9 August 2006. A Pandit Todarmal Smarak Trust as the representative of Pandit Todarmal Smarak Trust in India also set up there, where all the books published by the trust can be bought at the following address:
